Meet Karly

Karly Kato Bang is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor who recently earned her B.A. in Film, Television & Digital Media from UCLA. She specializes in cinematic storytelling and has experience directing short films and editing branded social content, including her internship at Hello Sunshine. Her passion lies in capturing emotion through movement, light, and rhythm.

 

Karly directed Santa Monica College Film Program's short film, Ends and Means, which premiered in July 2025 at LA Shorts International Film Festival.
